The Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and new Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) scheme took effect on 1 August 2026, bringing important changes for heavy vehicle operators and businesses across the civil construction industry.

Join Paul Daly, Director Strategic Policy at the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), for an update on the key changes and what they mean for civil contractors.

• Accreditation – key changes to the Heavy Vehicle Accreditation scheme and what operators need to know.
• Fatigue – changes to fatigue management requirements and responsibilities for operators and drivers.
